Better Late then Never

Yes, it has been forever since I have posted but for some reason I was having problems signing into my blog. However today when I logged on it let me, so here goes. BRIG IS WALKING!!! Such an exciting day at our house. He has been trying all week and it's amazing how fast they catch on once they start. The boys are so proud of his accomplishment they still get so excited for him everytime he takes a step its pretty cute.

So I don't have any pictures downloaded to update, but I started feeling a little guilty because it has been so long since I posted. I thought I would just give everyone a little update about what we have been up to. I will start with Brig, the child is now MOBILE. Yikes three kids that are all moving all the time pretty busy. It is so funny because Brig was a little behind on crawling and sitting up and within one week he learned to sit, crawl, and sit back up from a crawling position. He has been a busy little monkey but it is so fun watching him grow and watching the boys interact with him. He now has six teeth and more coming in. He doesn't do things small by any means he got all six within two weeks from the first one. It seems like they just keep popping up. I took him in for his nine month checkup and he is right on track. He is a big boy, which cracks me up because he was so small when he was born. Treyson is getting so big too. I can't beleive how fast they grow. Trey is three and getting bigger and bigger everyday. He talks non stop which is good because he is becomeing more and more confident and his speech is getting better and better. He and Zander are best buddies and spend a lot of time playing together. I love to watch them play and get a long it is so nice. Zander is doing very well in kindergarten and learns new things everyday. Its so fun for him to be able to go to school but I will admit I love having him home on days there is no school. He is such a big helper and loves to help with Brig. Brandon is in school and doing very well. He works so hard, and is so busy but is doing very well with working full time and going to school full time. He has almost been in school for a year and it feels so good to know that we are working towards something better. As for me I am still working from home and loving it and being able to be home with the kids. I am busier then I ever imagined but wouldm't have it any other way.

My sister and her girls were down from Idaho Falls and I was able to spend the day with them. We had so much fun and were able to fit in some pictures. What cute girls thanks for the fun.

Family Vacation

So this year we decided that we would take a family vacation close to home since Brig is still small and has a hard time traveling. We went to Cherry Hill and stayed there in our trailer and while we were there we went to the Dinosaur Museum, Cherry Hill water park of course, Temple Square, Hogel Zoo, The Living Planet Aquarium, The Children's Museum, and last of all Build a Bear Workshop. We decided vacations are always more fun with lot of people so ended up inviting all of my family and everyone was able to go. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, and it was great to see all of my sisters and parents. The kids were in Heaven at the dinosaur museum they had a big play land and life size dinosaurs. They also had a place where the kids could dig for bones. We were lucky and picked the best day to go to the water park Thurs was the only day it wasn't cold and stormy so it turned out nice it did storm in the afternoon but everyone had, had their fill of water so it was okay. The boys were mesmerized with Temple Square and loved seeing the Temple. Treyson was so excited to go to the zoo and see the monkeys, and Zander was so excited to go to the aquarium and touch the sting rays. The last day we went to the children's museum and the kids had so much fun. The build a bear workshop was my favorite. Each of the boys were so excited to be able to do their own tiger and snow leopard animal. They even got to name them and give them a bath. All in all it was a great vacation and we all had a lot of fun.

Brig Xavier Papke

Brig decided that he had waited long enough to join us and decided to come six weeks early. After a very difficult week of bedrest, medication, a heart monitor, steroids, and much worry and stress Brig decided he had had enough. March 25, 2010 He joined our family weighing in at 5 pounds 8 ounces (yes he was big) and 19.5 inches long. He is a very determined little boy and is doing very well for how early he arrived. He did very very well the first two days and has had a few set backs which are to be expected in the NICU. He is still trying so hard to grow that he gets tired very easy and sometimes doesn't want to wake up and eat so they have to tube feed him sometimes. His lungs are also a little under developed so he is on the smallest amount of oxygen possible. It has been a very hard emotional week and we are looking forward to being able to bring him home. The medical staff really can't tell us when we will be able to bring him home because every baby is so different. We probably have at least two weeks left in the NICU but are looking forward to when this experience is behind us. Here are some picuters of our new little guy. I know I am a bit partial but I think he is the cutest thing ever.

Catch Up

Okay so I know I have been really lazy lately and have not posted anything. The last few months have been very busy and very draining. I don't know what it is but this pregnancy is kicking my butt. I have never struggled so much with being tired, soar, and sick. However I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel so hopefully the next four to five weeks will go by quickly.

Over the last two and a half months Treyson has begun to say so many words. I can't believe how big he is getting and how much he reminds us of Zander at this age, but he deffinatly has his own sweet personality. He is the biggest tease. The child teases the whole time he is awake. His new phrase is Kibey Kibey which in English means Hurry Hurry! It is so cute when he says it because he is usually very excited because we are going somewhere. He is a major Daddy's boy (which I LOVE) and can't wait to hang out with Daddy when he gets home from work.

Zander has had an eventful two months. He turned five in January and just recently registered for Kindergarten. I can't believe the day has come that he is going to be going to the Crayon School as he calls it. He is getting so big and is such a good big brother. He is very excited for the baby to come and comes up with a different name each day that we can name the baby. He is a very intelligent little boy and already gives me a run for my money. The other day I took him into the Doctor's office for his five year old well child check and he had both the nurse and Doctor tongue tied. He fist started by telling the nurse how to take his blood pressure and what he would feel and exactly why she needed to take it. He has never had it done and has never been to any Dr appointments with us so we have no idea where he learned this. The nurse was so impressed that a five year old could explain something so complex that she went and told the Doctor. The Dr came in and said I hear you are a pretty smart little boy and Zander said "Yes I am". Then the Dr started asking him about riding his bike and said you probably still ride with training wheeles rights. Zander looked at him with utter disbelief and said NO I don't and I am faster then a car on my bike. The Dr then asked him if he wore a helmet to which Z replied I don't need a helmet becasue I am FAST! (Yes he is required to ware a helmet, and no I don't know where the child was coming up with these things) The Dr then tried to point out a few cenerios why a helmet would be need and Z had something to say about every single one of them. Finally the doctor gave up and looked at me like this is your battel to fight not mine.
After he was done with the check up he gave Zander a book about Snakes and said do you like snakes and of course the answer was YES. The doctor then told him the book was about a greedy snake that didn't share and ate everything he saw, he said you will have to read it at home with your Mom to find out what happens. Then Zander piped up and said don't worry I don't need to do that I already know. The snake is going to get really sick becasue he eats everything he sees because he is so greedy. The Doctor looked at me and said well that pretty much just ruined the ending of the book. Needless to say by the time we left, the dr and nurse couldn't stop laughing. What a kid he is a little to smart for his own good!

As far as the baby goes if anyone has any cute boys names that they would like to suggest we would love to hear them. I don't know what it is but we can't seem to agree on any names. We like different names and want something that will fit in with both Zander and Treyson. If you can't think of any different names you can leave a comment and tell us your favorite name out of these three.

Its a Boy

We had our ultrasound done this last week and the baby is healthy and growing right on schedule. We are going to be adding a third boy to the family and we are excited, he will fit right in around here. Zander took the news better then expected and is okay with having another little brother. Surprise

It has been so long since I have last blogged. I know I am a slacker. This summer has been very busy and eventful. We are happy to annouce that we will soon become a family a five. We had a bit of a surprise come our way but we are excited. I went to the Doctor the other day and the baby looks great. They did an ultrasound and the whole time the baby was waving and moving all around. I was a little surprised that you could see so much detail. I didn't realize that the baby already had arms and fingers. It is almost completely developed it just needs time to grow. I always feel so amazed with this whole process. They moved my due date up because the baby was bigger then expected which was fine with me. I am due May 5, 2010! Here is a picture of the baby, I couldn't get it to come out as clear as it is in the original picture. Oh well you can still see a little bit.

Boy's Room

So I finally decided that it was time to decorate the kids bedroom. I have been wanting to decorate since we moved but I kept telling myself to wait until we moved the boys in the same room so I would only have to do it once and could save money in the long run. Well it finally happened Treyson decided that he was to big to sleep in a baby bed and that he wanted to sleep in Zander's room with him. I was actually excited because I think that they will do better sharing a room. I went out and started the search for bunk beds. I decided I wanted bunk beds that had the drawers under them. Any way to ad more storage without taking up much room is wonderful. Well I looked all around town and ended up getting an awesome deal that was excatly what I wanted. They had messed up in the catalog and put the wrong price down so the place called the manufactorer and asked they said that it was in there and it was their bad so they would honor that price. Needless to say I got the bed for about half the cost of all the other ones and we love them. Once I found the bunk beds and ordered them I started looking for bedding to go with them. That was a lot easier then I had anticipated and it all just fell into place. I love their room and the sports theme I chose. I made the curtains and the Name Signs. I thought eveything turned out really cute. I went to a craft store with my sister and got a few ideas but decided that I could do it for way cheaper so I gave it a try and I think they turned out pretty good. I have a few more vinyl lettering signs that I need to do but my laptop has been out of commission. I am hoping to get them done the week. Brandon did a great job hangging everything up for me. He has been so busy at work I had to have him do it this weekend so it would be done before he went back to work, he was a good sport and did today.

Camping with the family

We have had a lot of fun this summer camping with family and friends. Most weekends if Brandon isn't working we take off and go camping. We were able to go with my family a few weekends ago. We had a lot of fun as soon as we found a camp site that wasn't full. The boys are in their element and if they had the choice we wouldn't come home. While camping the boys found a trail on the side of the mountain and they ran up and down the thing all day long. That is one good thing about camping they sleep really well at night because they are always really tired. Brandon enjoys staying busy so he built a huge cabin to light on fire. The flames got so high I was sure we were going to get a ticket or something. It was fun and we have been able to ejoy our trailer and spend time as a family.

A Day at the Zoo

Well I guess I shouldn't just say a day at the zoo, because everyday at our house seems like a zoo. I had to go up for a day of work in IF and so my sister and her boys came along to visit with the rest of the family. They had a great time while I was working. All of the kids went to Andrea's softball game, and then to Shannon's to play on the big water slide and then the zoo. What a day they were all so exhausted on the way home we didn't hear a peep.

More Water Fun

We had fun playing with our cousins in the water again. They had a great big pool this time, and Zander found out that he could reach the bottom. They had hours of fun. Treyson wasn't sure if he wanted to actually get in the water because it was freezing.

Summer Fun

We decided that we needed to get out of the house and have a little fun in the warm weather. My sister and her boys invited us to come have a day of fun in the water. We had so much fun, the boys loved playing with their cousins and loved the swimming pool and slide.

Camping

Okay so it has been awhile since I have posted pictures so I thought I should get it done. Over Memorial Day we went camping with my family. We had such a great time and the boys loved every minute of it. I think their favorite part was Grandma and Grandpa's 4-wheeler (okay so no thinking about it, it was their favorite). We loved being able to spend time with the fam and having a camp trailor made it so nice to camp with the boys. I never want to go back to tent camping again. For those of you who don't know we bought a trailor this year and have had such a fun time.

Girl's Camp

I am so happy to be home from Girl's Camp. It rained the whole time we were there. I bet there was only about five hours out of four days and nights that it didn't rain. We were all so cold we couldn't get warm, it felt like we were wet to the bone. We did manage to have a lot of fun, but it is so nice to be home in a dry, warm comfy bed. The leaders tent ended up getting so wet we had puddels everywhere. The girl's tent also were waterlogged but not as bad. After assessing the damage after the first night we decided there was no way we could continue spending the night. Everyones bags, clothes, and bedding was drenched. We ended up bringing the girls home at night to sleep and then leaving for camp around six oclock in the morning. It was a long week and it has taken most of the weekend to recover. All in all it was a good experience but I don't want to go tent camping ever again. The boys did well at my Mom's house. I am so thankful to have family close. Zander enjoyed some spend the nights with his cousins and is still talking about them. We are all glad to be back home and start getting things back to normal.

Tumbling Fun

So today was Zander's chance to show off all of the new moves he has learned in his Tumbling Preschool. I must say not only is the child fast, but he is flexable. He did really well waiting in line for his turn and listening to his teacher. It was funny because he kept making the course harder for himself by raising the bars so he would have to flip higher, it was pretty cute. Before he did one of the moves he even had to stop and put chalk on his hands. It was pretty cute, and a fun time for us to watch him showoff(which he had no problem doing).

The boys have loved being able to play outside with the weather getting warmer. It seems like I have to drag them back in the house everytime we go out. Here are a couple of fun shots of them playing outside. Treyson is getting so big, he wanted a ride on Zander's four-wheeler and of course Zander was happy to help out. Birthday Boy

Zander had fun opening presents on his birthday. He was spoiled rotten mostly from family members but regardless he was spoiled. I guess they are only young once. Treyson enjoyed helping his big brother open presents and Zander didn't mind either.

Hanging Out

Zander and Treyson love just hanging out and snacking on popcorn. Its fun to watch them play and have fun together. As Treyson gets older Zander loves to play and tease him, sometimes it is a little much but they have a good time. I can't wait till this summer and they can go outside and play.

At first Treyson didn't know what to do with all of the toys and presents to be unwrapped. After a little bit of watching he caught right on. He currently loves playing with balls so Santa knew just what to bring him.

Zander decided last minute that he wanted to be a Tiger for Halloween this year. He was really excited to be able to use face paint. This was a first for him and very exciting. Its amazing how simple little things can make his day. He didn't want to scare anyone so it took some convincing for him to roar for the picture.

Treyson Walking

I am not sure what I am going to do now. Treyson has started walking and loves to be able to get around like everyone else. I am not sure if I can handle both of them running in opposite directions. For any of you that know Zander know that he is very active and never walks always runs. I am not sure what I am going to do with both of them going now. Just in the past three days Treyson's walking and balance have improved so much. Its amazing to see how fast the learn, grow and develop.

Zander was getting tired of taking pictures. He is growing so fast I just can't seem to take enough pictures. I don't know what it is but the child used to be the pickiest eater and now he eats just about everything. Now that he has an appetite he has started to grow so fast he is getting so tall. Preschool has been just what he needed. He gets bored being at home and love to play with other kids. He is very good at tumbling and swimming too.

Okay so I have finally been talked into blogging. So much has happened over the last year. Brandon was transfered to Logan Utah in June of 2007. We had a baby, bought a house, sold our old house and are curently living in Logan Ut. We have two sons that keep us very busy. Zander and Treyson, they are handfuls but lots of fun. Zander started preschool this year and loves it. He also is in a tumbeling class and a swimming class. He is growing and learning more and more everyday. Some of the things that he comes up with crack us up on a daily basis. Treyson just started walking and is so full of energy. He is a Mommy's boy and doesn't really like to be left with anyone else. I am ready for that stage to end soon. I am new at this so I will start out small and then add as I have time.
